Changing a Fraction to a Percentage (or a Decimal)

Step 1: Multiply the fraction by 100.
Step 2: Divide the new numerator by the denominator.
Example: Change 6/17 to a percentage.


rounding the answer to the nearest whole number. So 6/17 = 35%.
By the way, if you want to just convert the fraction to a decimal,
don't bother multiplying the numerator by 100. So, in our example,
